Schengen 90/180 day calculator
Work out how many of your 90 days you have used, and how many are left on any date. Enter the date you want to check, then add your previous stays — the calculator applies the rolling 180-day window for you.
Your previous stays in the Schengen Area
In the 180 days ending 25-07-2026 (from 27-01-2026). You have 90 days remaining on that date.
How the rule actually works
A short-stay Schengen visa lets you spend up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the whole Schengen Area. The 180 days roll backwards from whatever date you are looking at, so the number of days available to you changes every single day. Both your arrival and departure days count in full, and all 29 Schengen countries share one allowance — hopping between them does not reset anything.
Overstaying, even by a few days, can lead to entry refusal or a re-entry ban on a later trip, so it is worth leaving yourself a margin rather than planning to the last day. If your count is close to the limit, cross-check with the European Commission’s official visa calculator.
Schengen calculator — frequently asked questions
How does the Schengen 90/180 rule work?
On any given day, you may not have spent more than 90 days inside the Schengen Area during the previous 180 days. The 180 days is a rolling window that moves with you — it is not a calendar half-year, and it does not reset when you get a new visa.
Do arrival and departure days count?
Yes. The day you enter and the day you leave both count as full days of stay, even if you were only in the Schengen Area for a few hours.
Does the whole Schengen Area count as one?
Yes. All 29 Schengen countries share the same 90/180 allowance — moving between them does not restart the count.
Is this calculator official?
No. It is a planning aid that applies the rolling-window rule to the dates you enter. The border officer's own calculation is what counts, so always leave a margin and confirm with the European Commission's official calculator if you are close to the limit.
Planning a trip that fits your allowance?
